Her Majesty, Black Cat Playing Card Wall Art

Nobody dealt her in. She simply turned up holding the whole suit.

A black cat sits in profile inside the border of a Queen of Spades, painted on a card that looks as though it has been shuffled for a hundred years. Rust-red scrollwork frames a bed of faded foliage, the corners carry their spades, and a small plaque at her feet settles the matter: QUEEN.

Her Majesty is for the cat who runs the house and was never once asked to. Deep red and antique cream, it holds a study, a hallway, or the wall beside a bookcase, and it looks older than it is, which is exactly the point.
